Job profile for a Compliance Monitoring Officer

• Assisting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer on the bank’s AML activities including the reporting of suspicious transaction. This may also include acting as the Deputy MLRO of the bank; • Ensuring Know Your Customer policies and procedures are adhered to including reviewing all new account applications and profiles; • Maintaining and implementing the bank’s risk based compliance monitoring program. This will include producing concise and detailed monitoring reports and ensuring that issues raised are resolved/or escalated in a timely manner; • Assisting in providing compliance and anti money laundering training to all employees; • Maintaining the breaches and errors register, complaints register and other compliance records; • Pro-actively identifying and escalating to the Head of Compliance/MLRO regulatory risks and issues; • Build and maintain professional relationships with business functions to ensure effective co-operation, communication, and seek opportunity to promote higher regulatory standards and awareness; • Assisting the company secretary in preparing papers for board and committee meetings; • Undertaking other relevant duties as specified by the Head of Compliance/MLRO; • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments and informing the Head of Compliance on any significant regulatory development; • Assisting with the Implementation of Treating Customers Fairly across the business and working as part of a project team to implement new regulatory requirements; • Assisting the Head of Compliance in developing and maintaining the Bank’s compliance culture
