Career Progression

Different people think varied thoughts when it comes to career progression. For some, getting to the top as quickly as possible is what drives them, and to some extent they measure success by their level at a different age. A very competitive person may find it very hard working for someone who is junior to them in years but who is more senior in the company.

For others, career progression is not as important and if it comes, then great, but they are happy carrying on as they are. Whilst others actively shy away from career progression, perhaps through lack of appetite for the job or lack of confidence, or simply not wanting the greater responsibility and sometimes longer hours that come with being in a senior position.

Some take the route of interim jobs. This direction of career progression involves taking often very highly paid jobs however only for a short period of time.
