100 Most Common Jobs

Just what are the most common jobs that are held by Britons in this day and age? That's a question that it's not inconceivable you've pondered over at some stage. And if you have, then you might find the following list of interest. It's a list of the 100 job titles that have cropped up the most in our salary survey results. Given this contains over 150,000 pieces of salary information collected over the last few years, then this list should be a fairly accurate indication.

The job at the top is the most commonly held, and the one at the bottom the least common of the top 100, but with several thousand job titles on file, it is still more commonly held than the vast majority of other jobs.

As expected, the most generic titles 'Manager' and 'Project Manager' come first and second in the list, accounting for over 5,000 responses in total. Next comes the trusted 'Teacher', with other familiar jobs in the top ten including Accountant and Administrator, with the trusty PA completing the top 10.
