Job profile for a Implementation Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities ? Assists with the development of new operational standards for the coordinated design, planning management and monitoring of programmes/projects within the five development priorities and assists Line Ministries/Public Sector Agencies to implement these standards in their respective organizations. Monitors and analyses emerging trends and developments in the private sector, civil society and the external environment and the implications for implementation of the Vision 2020 Operational Plans. ? Participates in ongoing reviews of the implementation capability in Ministries and Public Sector Departments. ? Participates in the process of project selection, prioritization and budgetary allocations of funds to ensure consistency with goals and objectives of Vision 2020. ? Assists with the formulation of recommendations for improving implementation performance and the design of policies and programmes. ? Assists with the design, facilitation and coordination of recommended capacity building initiatives to facilitate a culture for managing for results. ? Assists with the design and conduct of training programmes in the development of policy, when necessary. Collects and analyses data on programmes/projects for input into the web based Project Management and Monitoring System. Prepares Notes for Cabinet and periodic and adhoc reports for the Vision2020 Office, as required. ? Assists with the compilation and dissemination of knowledge and best practices to the rest of the Public service. ? Prepares and delivers presentations to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis. ? Represents the Ministry of Planning, Housing and the Environment at meetings, conferences courses, committee meetings, seminars and workshops. ? Performs any other related duties.
