Negociate freight rates & associated import costs with shipping companies & NVOC, aproximate movements last year from the far East = 800TEUS Arrange payments to foreign & uk suppliers, after checking that manifests and shipping documentation & schedules are correct Colate shipping information and arrange with all departments and suppliers for goods to be shipped just in time & to cordinate with the sales team ,warehouse with the booking & unloading of containers, based on sales ,stock and staff availability & dispatch requirements Generally monitoring shipments from the time of dispatch to the time of delivery,dealing with any customs or cargo queries in order to facilitate prompt deliveries & to minimise any possible rent or demurrage charges To Co ordinate with any direct customers and arrange deliveries in to site. Dealing with any eronious happenings ie late shipment, delivery damage ,vessels sinking ,infested cargo & the like .
