Job profile for a Licenced Aircraft Engineer B1
LAE B1 or B2 requires an EASA issued licence prior to certifying aircraft fit for flight. To achieve B1/B2 licence issue requires passing the licensing exams followed by a company approval course and tests for the type rating. Of course there is the practical training requirement, which is not easy. Overall lots of academic and practical learning required which makes an interesting career for aviation enthusiasts, but be warned, there then follows the airworthiness decision making moments!
