Job profile for a Quality Analyst

Role Purpose • Management of the TfL’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and business objectives whilst proactively seeking opportunities to improve the processes to enable more efficient delivery of TfL’s activities. • Management of TfL’s Online Delivery Manual and Document Management System Principal Accountabilities • Overall responsibility for the Quality Management System ensuring ISO 9001 accreditation and compliance with Industry Standards is maintained • Overall responsibility for the management of process development in line with industry best practice • Overall responsibility for the management of audits and reviews to ensure processes reflect working practices • Overall responsibility for the implementation and management of process/system improvement projects to ensure timeframes and costs are established and release of changes controlled • To work in partnership with other directorates to ensure the successful co-ordination of internal and external audit activities, to include instigating corrective and preventive action in response to audit findings • Overall responsibility for the maintenance of the TfL online Delivery Manual • Overall responsibility for the maintenance of the TfL File Management Structure • Provide advice, support and promote industry best practice across the Directorates • To support each Directorate in the business driven organisational change and development to achieve business objectives • To manage direct reports’ workloads, performance issues and professional behaviour to ensure a culture of accountability and outcome focus is established and maintained. • To manage the professional and individual development of support staff to ensure they are fully empowered to carry out their roles and establish an ethos of continuous improvement. • To ensure that TfL meets its duties under the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 requirements for the assigned work in conjunction with external service providers. • To demonstrate the commitment and enthusiasm to promote the principle of equality in employment and service delivery Key Tasks • Integrated Quality Management – systems and procedures • Online Delivery Manual – implementation and update – from conception to delivery • Electronic File Management System – full restructure • Transition Change management – to new maintenance contracts • Environmental Champion – workshops, incentives, initiatives and awareness • Maintaining peer communications and reporting mechanisms on Quality Managing a team of 6, this contract post with Transport for London was part of their Mobilisation team for the new Highway Maintenance Works Contracts. Working with the three Co-located offices containing the TfL Network Teams and Highway Maintenance contractors, it was my responsibility to manage the team to ensure that processes and procedures were clearly defined, mapped and reviewed by all parties for the new term contracts.
