Job profile for a Quality Assurance Auditor

As a Quality Assurance auditor, I am required to audit study Protocols, Reports, Study Data and other documentation for compliance with Good Labratory Practice regulations and compile an audit report which is fed back to the Study Director and their Management. The other important part of the job is inspections. An auditor will condut inspections on Study specific procedures, Process based procedures, inspections of the Faility as a whole, as well as facility inspections of external Subcontractors. The role also includes liaison with Sponsors (clients), and the Good Laboratory Practice Monitoring Authority (GLPMA) who inspect our facility for compliance and issue us with a certificate of compliance. I am a GLP auditor, but there are also GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GCP/GCPv Good Clinial Practice/Good Clinical Practice Vetinary) auditors. Their roles are similar to mine but just invole slightly different regulations.
