Job profile for a Research Associate

The Research Assistant will use whole-cell patch-clamp recordings from neurons; analyse electrophysiological data from these recordings; and perform anatomical identification of the recorded neurons. The Research Assistant will keep abreast of the latest publications in the field and effectively communicate research findings, both at regular laboratory meetings and by contributing to publications; keep excellent records of experiments, undertake thorough analysis data and make active contributions to the laboratory research environment; and assist with the maintenance of communal lab stocks and supervision of project students.
