Job profile for a Specialist Teaching Assistant
I support secondary school children with physical and medical needs in the classroom. I differentiate health and safety lessons to suit the child. I do 1;1 study sessions, escort post op pupils from class to class, give medication when required, take children to hydrotherapy sessions, supervise medical procedures to make sure they are done correctly, complete Individual Education Plans, annual reports on the child, attend annual reviews with the carers and other agencies involved.
