Job profile for a Supporter Services Officer

The Supporter Services department maintains fundraising supporters' records on the Visual Alms database. This includes processing donations received at Featherstone St, sending thank you letters to supporters and amending supporters' details (addresses etc) where necessary. We ensure that the Gift Aid information is accurately data captured and all documentation is properly stored to enable audits of declarations and tax claims. This is one of the key responsibilities of donation and Gift Aid administration as it allows us to claim an additional 28% on all donations from tax payers. The team ensures that the information about donations gets updated on the database promptly and all people who donate are thanked. Large or sensitive donations have separate, more personalised letters sent to them. To look after all the administrative responsibilities, such as coding of donations, committed giving payment problems, processing and standing order payments.
