- Interviewing of tenants and making them aware of the principal terms of a Council tenancy. - Act as a Resettlement Officer for the prospective tenant from the offer date to the - 1st point of contact from date of offer to 1st visit from Tenancy Officer (Early Tenancy Counselling). - Advising tenants on how to obtain furniture/white goods and what schools and doctors surgeries are in their chosen area. Sourcing funiture where required - Liaising with the Allocations, Repairs, Rent, council tax, housing benefit and the Neighbourhood Officers - central communicator of the organisation - Arranging through the repairs partner the removal of security measures to enable prospective tenants to view and for new tenants to take up occupation - Lettings Officers liaise with Occupational Health/Social services regarding adaptations to enable tenants to lead independent lives and sending referrals to tenancy support where necessary - Post tenancy liasion with tenants regarding adaptations and repairs - Facilitating removals for decants and ensuring properties are prepared for tenants to move into straight away, ordering flooring, curtains where necessary - Liaising with IT to manage electronic processes- producing specification to fill gaps in process/ reporting
