Wine Advisors The main role of all Wine Advisors is to provide the best service possible whether or not the customer chooses to make a purchase. Wine Advisors drive branch sales through excellent customer service and suggestive selling. They use their strong selling skills and product knowledge to provide our customers with appropriate products, service and information. Successful Wine Advisors are energetic, enthusiastic, take pride in their work and possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. We train our Wine Advisors how to operate our tills, how to give First Class customer service and how to merchandise our stores so they are appealing to our customers. Wine Advisors are also supported through the WSET qualifications and attend staff tastings to improve their product knowledge. Good and capable Wine Advisors can potentially go on to be promoted to an Assistant Manager within a year.
