Caveat venditor

For those of us who don't speak latin, it is not immediately aware what this means.

However you may be more familiar with the oft quoted caveat emptor, or buyer beware.

This is the opposite of that in that it means let the seller beware.

The seller needs to be just as aware as the buyer, and particularly with certain financial instruments as has been seen during the credit crunch where many of them backfired horribly!
