Market research is the process of gathering intelligence, sometimes referred to as management information, or MI.

The world is thirsty for knowledge, and with the internet this is more the case than ever.

Market research is often outsourced to companies that have a large reach and ability to pull in a representative sample of the target audience of a product or service and ask them questions about it in order to gain feedback, find strengths and weaknesses and ultimately to try to improve an existing product, or develop a new product that fits a need.
