Beverages Sector Explained

The beverages and organic food sector of the market is surprisingly large, perhaps. In fact the market for these products in the UK is large at around 60 million customers, and the market is absolutely huge in terms of overall spend.

Therefore this is a large and important sector as it turns out.

It is quite an interesting sector to get into, particularly the organic part, because more and more people seem to be adopting organic practices and eating organic foods, which means that some stocks and companies that are in this area are being looked into seriously by investors who have traditionally shied away from this area.

The range of companies that would be categorised in the beverages sector in the UK include the likes of Britvic and Diageo.

For individual investors, this is an area of the market that is often not invested in and people prefer to stick to things they know well like the banks, however from time to time some good opportunities do come up so it is worth at least looking into the companies in this sector and considering what's on offer!
