Spending your Salary
Spending salary - it seems quite effortless and certainly easier than earning the money. But what is a sensible and sustainable use of our salary? Well, if you can save between 5 - 10% of your salary each month then that is quite healthy. If you are not saving anything then sadly you are not going to get rich too soon, unless you are paying off a mortgage. It may be not possible you think for you to save at that level particularly if you have high costs and not too high earnings, however where there is a will there is a way. Try to cut out expensives that you don't need such as takeaways, deluxe food, expensive clothes - stick to the basics of just what you need. It might sound miserable and boring, but you just have to look at the long term objective and the fact that the more you save now the more it will be worth later, and so it will be worth it in the long run when you can have all those luxuries in a few years time instead of now, it just takes some discipline, a strategy and the ability to look ahead to long term goals. |
