Disinflation, what is this and how does it differ to inflation?

Well, as you may expect, disinflation is a related concept, but rather refers to slowing of the increase in prices rather than the increase.

There are well known measures that are used by bodies such as the bank of england to keep a check on inflation and also, in a sense, disinflation.
